So he must know something. This is a cookbook written by a man for a man. No it's not another grilling book. It's for the dating man who's lucky enough to get a woman to say yes to his invitation or the married man in the dog house by a wife who said no to his advances. EXCERPT "I stumbled in my dating adventures onto this secret. I mean, I stumbled onto this secret in my dating adventures. Yeah, that’s it. It’s very powerful and very easy. Anyone with the right knowledge can succeed in attracting the opposite sex (don’t know if you wanna keep ‘em.) You just have to know what to do." There is basic advice on dating that some men seem to have thrown by the wayside. And possibly some dating advice that may not have been passed on to you by the debonaire ladies man trying to keep all the women for himself. The recipes are easy and most end with a mellow adult beverage.

Saw Neil on Barbecue Pit Masters and instantly fell in love with him. I bought the book thinking he might share some of his barbecue culinary secrets, but there's nary a barbecue recipe in the book. The Cajun Shrimp is definitely worth trying, however, and the book itself is adorable. Neil had a distinctly down-home style of writing and his approach of using food to encourage romance - well, it sure beats knocking your object of affection over the head with a club and dragging her into the cave to dazzle her with your hand print paintings all over the smokey walls...Product details

Plain and simple, Neil Strawder can cook. I have not had the opportunity to see this particular book but I have no doubts it's a keeper knowing what I've seen of his work elsewhere.
This book is hilarious. I haven't made the recipes out of this one yet, but, as someone who's been cooking for many many years I can see that the recipes are excellent for beginning cooks. I really enjoy the style of writing and the anecdotes. There are great tips for single man on the prowl as well! The author, Neil, is SoCal's own Big Mista, a renowned BBQer. If you want to start cooking, this is a great book for that, and if you already know your way around the kitchen, you may get some new ideas and you will definitely get some great laughs out of this book.
