Imagine standing outside a garden paradise, gazing upon its beauty and splendor but refusing to enter through the gate. That is exactly the picture Charles Spurgeon paints in this work on evangelism and witnessing, pointing out the great tragedy of sinners who stand on the wrong side of the gate, look upon everlasting life but never pursue it. This book, engaging and easy-to-read, speaks friendly and candidly to those who continue to resist God's calling yet linger Around the Wicket Gate.

Though it says nothing about this in the description, this book was not written by a human. It was scanned and reproduced by a computer (Apparently to save on costs, humans were removed from every aspect of this books creation). There are literally typos on every page and in many places there are entire paragraphs and pages that are completely unreadable, because there are so many typos its nonsense. (It's not just a misspelled word here and there, its entire paragraphs full of gibberish.) I really wanted to read this book and I thought the price was great, but this is not a book, this is a production experiment gone awry. Do not buy this book, unless you just want to read the title, because that's about the only thing that is legible.Product details

Around the Wicket Gate Charles H Spurgeon 9781500919832 Books Reviews
This book is probably the best ever written for the unbeliever to 1st hear about GOD and His plan for us. It is probably the best ever written for the believer to give him/her a guide to get to know GOD, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit better.
This book is to be savored like a the most delicious of meals. You will not walk away from this book feeling spiritually hungry.
Charles Spurgeon is one of my favorite writers of Bible study. This one is very simplistic explaining salvation. easy for a child to understand..
This book speaks very plainly for one that contains such an unfamiliar word in the title. The Wicket Gate is a reference to John Bunyan's book Pilgrim's Progress. The Wicket Gate is the narrow gate. This book deals with questions that come up at the narrow gate, as people struggle with the question of whether or not to take the narrow gate. Do you have doubts or objections about Christ and what it means to place your faith in him? This simple book might be a great help to you.
This little book will refresh any true believer in Jesus Christ with a tremendous review of what we believe about the One who loved us and shed His own blood for our souls; and it will inform the seeker of the same, providing eternal redemption through faith in Christ. This copy has already found more use than anticipated, and we trust will continue to spread its truth and bring forth much fruit for God's glory and for the good of all who read it!
A wonderful read for the "almost persuaded"
As published by General Books, who used optical character recognition (OCR), this book has too many typos - and I mean serious typos (page 1, "TV/TILLIONS of men are ...";page 3,"$rounb tfye tDtcket HEAT numbers of persons ..." and so on. I realize that the term 'typo' probably is not the best term for OCR flubs, but this book was a real publishing disappointment. Not worth the price, no matter how low.
